Objective:
The objective of the Help the Needy event, organized by Raising Hope Centre in conjunction with Pot of Manna, was to extend compassion and practical support to vulnerable refugee families and host community households in Kitengela. The initiative sought to provide immediate relief through food and essential supplies, while also fostering a sense of dignity, solidarity, and social cohesion between displaced populations and their host neighbors.
Event Highlights:

1. Hope Gala Night (6:30 PM – 10:00 PM)
A formal dinner highlighting the impact of Raising Hope Centerās initiatives.
Cultural Performances showcasing the diverse cultures of the communities we serve.
Success Stories of beneficiaries about how the Centreās programs have transformed their lives, providing a powerful and emotional connection to the cause.
- Live Auction: Bid on unique items, including handcrafted products, exclusive experiences, and donated goods, with all proceeds supporting the Centreās activities.
- Gala Dinner: A multi-course meal provided by local chefs, incorporating dishes inspired by refugee and host community cuisines.
2. Crafts for a Cause Fair (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM)
A vibrant showcase and marketplace celebrating the creativity of program participants.
- Handmade Product Displays: Browse and purchase items such as textiles, jewelry, artwork, and home decor crafted by beneficiaries of the Centreās vocational programs.
- Artisan Demonstrations: Watch live demonstrations of tailoring, embroidery, or crafting to learn about the skills taught at the Centre.
- Interactive Craft Stations: Attendees can try their hand at creating simple crafts guided by program participants, fostering deeper engagement.
